Kicking Off Our New Team and a Color Challenge

It's time once again to announce our newest team members over at Our Creative Corner.  We have five talented paper crafters joining the team and I am pleased to share that these artists have honored us by accepting a spot on our design team:

Lisa Minckler - You Made Me Ink
Kim Price - Inkcognito
Paula McClane - Scrap Addict's Attic
Liliana Inguanti - Stampin' From Home

I hope you will stop by their blogs and get to know them.

This week Sharon Wheet is our host again and she has a delightful color challenge for us.  Use navy and pink and one other color of your choice.  However, your added color choice cannot be a neutral such as white, cream, black or brown.
As you can see, for my extra color I chose yellow.  I used an old, old Stampin' Up! stamp from the Tender Toile set, stamped in Cobalt Archival Ink.  I embossed Barely Banana CS with the Regal Flourishes Texture Fade and used the circle Embossing Defuser to create a non-embossed circle to stamp on.  The embossing defusers are interesting tools from the Tim Holtz Alterations/Sizzix line that you can place anywhere to either emboss or not emboss, if that makes sense.  The patterned paper is a digital download from Raspberry Road.  The larger, top heart is a piece of that Pepsi can I used the other day for the flourishes.  I cut it with a Movers and Shapers heart, embossed it with one of the new Vintaj metal embossing folders and then applied Pearl alcohol ink mixative and Watermelon alcohol ink on it.  The same alcohol ink combo was used on the paper Tattered Banner sentiment and the tiny heart and links.

Almost all the products needed to make this card, with the exception of the stamp and the paper, can be purchased in my Funkie Junkie Boutique.  The links are below for ease in locating the items in my boutique.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and for all your lovely comments.  I hope you will take the time to stop by Our Creative Corner and the blogs of our new teamies.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Lovely card! I think the choice of the third colour is really tricky, and this is such a pretty, elegant solution.
