Spring Break With Our Creative Corner
If this is Saturday, then it must be time for another challenge over at Our Creative Corner. Anita Houston is our host again this week and her challenge to us is to show and tell us where you would go for spring break if you could choose anywhere. I guess a lot of the DT must have Paris in the Springtime on their mind. I'm raising my hand here too - LOL. There are just so many wonderful stamps and vintage images - who could resist?
I made my card in soft spring pastels/neutrals. The main colors are Creamy Caramel and Soft Sky. I printed out some digital paper from the Crafty Secrets Creating with Vintage Patterns CD that I just got in stock in my store. (Of course, I had to grab a copy for me before I put the others in the boutique.) Then I stamped various French vintage style elements from 7 Gypsies Avalon set in Soft Suede. I inked up the front panel of the Tim Holtz Postcard texture fade (you had to have guessed that there would some sort of post card involved, right?) and ran a piece of white CS through it. Then I went over the high points with Creamy Caramel. The castle stamp is from SU's Provincial set. The metal is all from my shop - I white heat embossed it, sanded it and rubbed creamy caramel ink over it with my finger. A bit of lace also from my shop (in white) and the rose made with the Tattered Pinecone die made from white CS and Tattered Rose distress stain.
Now I hope you will stop by Our Creative Corner to see where the rest of the team is dreaming of taking a spring break vacation. What's your spring break vacation destination? Hope you will join our challenge this week. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
