Beach Day

Here I am again with another fun little tag made with the awesome new Artistic Outpost release Boardwalk.  For this piece, I stamped the beach hut four times with Jet Black archival onto white CS and colored them with distress markers and cut them out.  Using one of the non-branded jumbo tags I sell in the boutique, I prepped the background by sponging the top third with Tumbled Glass DI, then embossed the wave using the border die from the Travel Signs set.  The wave was sponged with Stormy Sky DI.  The sand was created by combining a 50/50 mix of Vintage Photo and Antique Linen distress embossing powders which created a roughed up, realistic sand look.

And that's it - just a simple tag having fun with the new Boardwalk plate.  Artistic Outpost stamps are on sale this week both at Artistic Outpost and at my Funkie Junkie Boutique - 15% off!  Grab this hot new set and have a blast!!!

I love how you have created the three background areas Linda, the embossing and powders give the sea and sand such a realistic look. Beautiful bright beach huts, and the sun is shining here for a change, makes me feel summer is on its way.
Happy Sunday.

Love this bright and breezy make. I agree with Brenda on the effect of the embossing powders, the whole tag has a lovely summery feel so well suited to those stamps!
