More Gift Tags and Thank You Notes

Hi everyone, thanks so much for stopping by to see what I made for week two/Funkie week over at Frilly and Funkie.  This is our last challenge for the year as we will be taking a short holiday break for the rest of December and kicking off the new year with a challenge on January 1st.

I didn't have much time for creating this week but managed to make one sample each of a gift tag and a Thank you note/tag. Both of these are made on the jumbo manila tags I sell in the boutique.  They are folded so there is a space inside to write the To/From or a short thank you note.  I just did some random second generation stamping inside to give it a bit of decoration, but it can be written over for the to/from or note.

For the thank you note, using Vintage Photo DI and the Wendy Vecchi Dots and Strips stencil, I sponged the strip pattern around the edges.  Then I masked that off and stamped the gingham stamp from Wendy's Nature's Art set in Vintage photo and also stenciled the polka dots on the inside piece that shows at the top.  I had the Vintage Finds button card stamped and left over from a prior project, one of the leftovers floating around my craft table waiting for a home.  I thought it made a nice touch for a thank you for a handmade gift.  I tried to make the heart look like gingerbread.  It was cut from white CS, sponged heavily with Vintage Photo and I used a Viva Decor pearl pen to make the pearl dots.  The star is plain gray chipboard, painted white, stamped and sponged then coated with Glossy Accents and Clear Rock Candy distress glitter.  The garland was cut with the Holly, Beaded and Snowflake decorative strip die from white CS, sponged lightly with Vintage Photo DI and glittered with Clear Rock Candy distress glitter.  Then I fussy cut more bows from the garland die cut and glittered them with Vintage Photo DG.  The twine, mini distress clothes pins and the TH Simple Sayings stamp set use for the Thank You can all be found in my little boutique by clicking the thumbnails below.

On to the gift tag - I liked the combination of colors on Tim Holtz's December tag so I used Antique Linen to sponge the tag and stenciled it with Frayed Burlap using the new Holly stencil.  The border was stenciled using the very bottom of the Dyan Reaveley's Starry Starry Night stencil.  I love the new Deco Christmas set and used a sentiment from that.  The holly leaves were cut with the Festive Greenery decorative strip die, sponged with Vintage Photo DI and glittered with the Vintage Photo distress glitter (LOVE that color glitter!).

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you will be able to relax and enjoy the Christmas season!

These supplies, used to make the projects above, can be purchased at The Funkie Junkie Boutique, where Ranger and Tim Holtz products are always 20% below MSRP.
