Hello and welcome back. Thanks so much for taking the time to visit. I hope you are enjoying the Christmas season. I've been down with the flu for most of the past week. Today was the first day that I felt able to sit at my craft table and play. Fortunately the boutique has been slow this week while most of you have been focusing on your family festivities.
Anyway, since I was pretty much out of commission and felt like I missed most of Christmas, I'm still wanting to enjoy winter/Christmas crafting and decided to make another winter themed card for my Artistic Outpost DT piece this week. I stamped the forest scene from the Midwinter set onto a #8 manila tag in Potting Soil, ripped off the bottom end and sponged it with Vintage Photo DI. I filled in all the snowy areas by brushing on Glossy Accents and then shaking on Rock Candy distress glitter. The designer papers are from Maja Design It's Christmas Time collection.
I got out my Queen's Gold EP and coated the filigree metals and the snowflake strip that I cut with the Holly Beaded and Snowflake Garland. I also used it to emboss the sentiment.
That's pretty much it for this card. Thanks again for stopping by and have a great winter Sunday.
The products below were used to make this card and can be purchased at The Funkie Junkie Boutique:

I'm so sorry to hear you have had the flu, what a terrible time to come down with something. All my best wishes to you, I hope you can make up for some of it this week. This card is lovely, that stamp set is tithe best! I can't stop with the seasonal crafting either and managed your tag 13 yesterday, I'm off to try and photograph it now. A very happy New Year Linda, May 2014 be all you desire. Love barb x

I'm so sorry you've been ill. I hope you're starting to feel better & can have a wonderful New Year's celebration to make up for missing Christmas.
That is an absolutely stunning card, I am in awe. I love the stitching around the frame & the silver snowflake embellishment is gorgeous.
This is just beautiful Linda and the sentiment from one of my all time fave Christmas Carols - as I sang the first verse solo many times at Christmas Services when I was (much) younger!!)
Am sorry that you've been so poorly - how rotten any time but worse at Christmas - hope 2014 brings you everything you wish for. xx

I'm sorry to hear that you had to spend Christmas down with the flu! I hope you're feeling much better now. Your card is gorgeous! I love the scene and the end piece under the stamp. Really beautiful.
Happy New Year, Linda! I'm looking forward to seeing all the wonderful things you'll create!
Lovely card, so unified. No, that's not right, put together so seamlessly? Looks effortless, but I'm sure it wasn't. Think the cold has affected my brain. Fourteen degrees this morn, colder with wind chill. Hope you feel better soon, and have a happy new year.
How awful that you are sick and not enjoying the holidays. Hope you continue to get better very soon, in time for New Year's Eve at least. Your card is beautiful. I love all the different elements. Take cae.
So sorry to hear you've not been well Linda, but glad you are a bit on the mend now.... Your beautiful wintry card is a stunner, such a beautiful stamp and you have used it to perfection layered and glittered up like that, such a beautiful scene!
Hope the new year will bring you much joy, happiness and creativity!!
Sorry to hear you were sick over the holiday. Feel better soon! Your card is beautiful. I wish you the best for the new year!

This is just so pretty, love the sentiment. Hope you're well on your way to good health again. Best wishes for 2014.
The first year the company I work for had a holiday shut down I got the flu...and I was so looking forward to having some crafty time! LOVE your card, love the Moody Blues Christmas CD with those lyrics!
I do sympathise - lost most of my Christmas to the evil seasonal bugs too... still in recovery! Beautiful card, though... and I hope 2014 will be altogether healthier, and very happy too!
