Hello and welcome back for the kick off of another challenge over at Frilly and Funkie. This week our hostess is Rebecca and her challenge is called By the Seaside... the sand, sea, sun and seawater are the focus of this challenge. We are to use seashells (real or images) and summer at the seaside to guide our creativity!
I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch as a starting point so I'm going to enter this into the challenge over there too.
I also stamped the starfish from the Artistic Outpost Beyond the Sea set using Brushed Pewter Distress Paint randomly over the top layers. I love the subtle beachy feel that gives.
I adhered burlap over chipboard with Multi Medium and when dry, cut it with the Mini Labels M&S die. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz's Simple Sayings set. My shells are from my weekend get-away at Sanibel Island earlier this summer. I have listed below all the supplies used on this card that are available for purchase at The Funkie Junkie Boutique.
I hope you will stop by Frilly and Funkie to check out the wonderful seaside beauties that our designers have whipped up for your inspiration. And I hope you will be inspired to play along.

I LOVE this! Particularly so, because they seem to include seaside images from my Etsy shop. Wonderful work! I was wondering why this product and others were getting so much attention. <3

This is fabulous, Linda! All the wonderful textures of the corrugated cardboard and burlap mixed with the shabby distressed edges and stitching...it's all blended together so beautifully!!
Oh, I love it! Beautiful papers, deliciously distressed - just wonderful with that corrugated layer for a touch of textured earthiness. Sorry to be behind - my internet's been playing up, so I'm sitting in Caffe Nero trying to do some catching up... have a great weekend!
