This challenge really stressed me out. I hemmed and hawed about what I could make and finally settled on this chalkboard banner. I used a banner kit that we sell at The Funkie Junkie Boutique. Basically it's just a 12 piece black "chalkboard" type banner and it comes pre-punched and with a small bundle of twine. I used Tim Holtz's Christmastime red and white jute twine in place of the plain burlap style twine. Talk about biting off more than you can chew. Wow, this took forever! It would have been fun except my life is controlled by a schedule right now as I am having a large Christmas party this Saturday night and every second is scheduled from cooking to shopping to cleaning to prepare for the entertainment.
Because I am so short of time and this project is so involved, I'm just giving you a brief look today and will be over the next couple of days to share individual banner flags up close and detailed. For now, just a quick overview. I started with all my winter/holiday Tim Holtz stencils and using Ranger Glacier White and a Mini Ink Blending tool, I stenciled on the white craft ink, using a different stencil for each banner. I also used a Tim Holtz die on each banner. My color palette is black and white, but each banner has a pop of red.
Thanks for visiting. Please stop back tomorrow for a close up of the LET banner sand the details on how they were made.
These products were used to create the banner above. They can be purchased at The Funkie Junkie Boutique where most name brand products are 20% below list.

This is gorgeous and I hope it will be showcased at the party so everyone can see how beautiful it is! The black banner is fabulous with the reds and white!
This is so fabulous Linda! I'm sorry the challenge caused you so much anxiety, but now you have this stunning banner to dress up your holiday party! The black and white palette is timeless, and the details are wonderful! Merry Christmas, my friend!
What a fabulous banner, Linda - the flags are amazing, and I've been enjoying seeing some of the flags close up. Fantastic home decor, and so worth the time it took!
