I started with a non-branded jumbo tag I sell in the boutique and dredged it through puddles of Broken China and Wild Honey distress paints, drying with my heat tool after each dredging. I used the Lines and Dots stencil with distress inks (Broken China/WildHoney) to create a little gingham design. Then I stenciled the flower using the 3 Fresh Flowers stencil with Broken China and Mowed Lawn distress inks. The white polka dots were leaving the Fresh Flowers stencil on, dabbing Picket Fence Distress Paint on the dot stamp from It's All About Art. I did some hand doodling around the edges plus sponged the edges with Jet Black archival. The sentiment, from Sentimental Art, was stamped with Broken China distress ink and clear embossed. I also used the text stamp from Live and Mark Art with Coffee archival ink to give the background a little interest.
A few funkie type embellishments, including burlap string, rhinestone buttons and burlap, plus stitching, finished off this piece.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you will join in the Wendy Vecchi Style challenge over at Frilly and Funkie.
