Welcome back to the final week of the 12 Tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie Style. It's been another fun run this year with my annual challenge but it's now coming to an end. At this very busy time of year, my final tag this season is another quickie. I actually had another tag partially made but when I sat down to finish it last night, I couldn't find the die I needed for the focal point. My dies go back and forth from The Funkie Junkie Boutique to my home craft space because we use them at the shop to cut die cuts for our thank you gifts. I wanted that dove die from a year or so ago and darn it, I searched high and low and couldn't find it.
At that point, I needed to start from the beginning again and sat at my craft table waiting for inspiration to hit. Perusing the discarded bits and pieces strewn around the perimeters of my table, I plucked one here and another there and soon had a pile of options. I grabbed a sheet of kraft core paper from this year's Christmas Stash pad, glued it over top of a jumbo manila tag and sanded the edges. Then I laid out all the rejected elements I had rescued until I was pleased with the array. It was all quickly glued down and in about 15 minutes I had a completed tag! Not my most original piece, but a fun tag with a pleasing retro vibe.
So that's a wrap, my friends. Thank you all for visiting and a most hearty thanks to all who played along this year. If you are participating in the challenge, you have until midnight Eastern Time on December 29th to link up your submissions. If you are participating, please review the challenge requirements found in my Week #1 post. Before awarding the gift certificates and the 10% off January coupons, I do check to make sure all requirements were met. It is very important that each post is linked back to this blog and also to The Funkie Junkie Boutique (www.thefunkiejunkie.com).
Wishing you all a blessed Advent season, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
The items below were used in making this tag and can be purchased at The Funkie Junkie Boutique.

What a great finale - even without the doves - and I love a leftovers tag! Thank you for all the inspiration - it's another wonderful year of Christmas tags, and I'm having such fun with them

A great last tag Linda...wow where did those 12 weeks go. It's a wrap indeed..thanks so much for running this again, my favourite Christmas challenge. Merry Christmas to you and yours and all the very best for 2018 xx
An other beautiful tag, thank you Linda for this Christmas creative journey!
I love this beautiful vintage tag! I was so happy you decided to find time to share your art with us this holiday season and continue the 12 tags of Christmas! Thank you for hosting the challenge again this year. I have finished my tags and will be posting them all this week and coming back to link them up!
Linda, this is really such a pleasing composition, and what I love most is that your were able to make such a pretty tag using just leftover bits and pieces. Very ironic you combined the tissue fringe with the burlap ribbon--a combination I was thinking of on our long ride back from FL. The things that come to mind when you've heard the same CD 3 times in a row and there's not much conversation going on. Ha! Ha!
Sorry to hear about your MIA dove die; that must have been so very frustrating. But now you will have a start on next years tags! I am so happy you were able to find time in your incredibly busy days to host this fabulous and fun challenge! Stop and think about how many lives you bring joy to by inspiring so many of us to create homemade cards/tags/gifts for our friends and family! What a gift you give others!
Hopefully I'll be back with one more before long, but if not, Merry Christmas to you, your family and your staff at The Funkie Junkie Boutique. Sending hugs!
A fabulous finale Linda!
Have a wonderful Christmas!

A lovely and Retro tag Linda. I think of the Silver Bells song sung by Bing Crosby when I see this tag.
Merry Christmas!

Wonderful finale Linda, love the retro feel to your lovely tag, the inspirations continues! Thanks so much for all your hard work over the past 12 weeks, I am off to finish my 12th card to link up and can't believe that I may actually be able to finish your challenge this year, third time is the charm apparently! Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and much joy, good health and continued success in the New Year, Deb xo
Thank you so much for all your inspiration Linda,I have enjoyed joining in each week immensely. As a crafter living in rural mid devon it is a rare treat that I get to craft alongside anyone else but I feel have over the last 12 challenges. Your gorgeous creations have pushed me to produce things I know I would never have done on my own. Your hard work and effort at such a busy time of year has been hugely appreciated and I am so pleased to have discovered the funkie junkie boutique as a result too. Take care and have a wonderful 2018! Lou x
Gorgeous gorgeous tag! I had a hard time figuring out how I was going to do it justice in my cubbies! Thank you so much for this challenge... it really made me stretch my mind and exercise my creativity and take some chances... definitely will join in again next year if you do it again! Thank you!!! Going to be sure I linked all of mine up now...
