For Dad!

I have a double duty tag to share this week.  This week my design team project for Frilly and Funkie was for the Funkie week's For Dad project.  I decided to use Artistic Outpost stamps to create my piece and was able to use it for my weekly Artistic Outpost make too.

I started with a jumbo manila tag that had already been used to mop up inks and stains from another project.  This one had Crushed Olive and Frayed Burlap distress stains already splotched on it.  Next I put down a Tim Holtz honey comb stencil and applied white Wendy Vecchi embossing paste.  As it dried, the white embossing paste absorbed the distress stain colors from the tag.  Once the embossing paste had dried, I stamped over it with various stamps from the Industrial Backgrounds plate in Jet Black archival ink.  I stamped the Charles Lindberg photo stamp from Charles and Ameila in Jet Black archival and fussy cut it out, then sponged it with Vintage Photo.

An embellishment was created with the Honeycomb Frameworks die by cutting chipboard, sponging it with Vintage Photo DI, embossing it with UTEE and then sponging again with Black Soot DI.  Some of the cut outs from the Honeycomb die cut were used as a backing from the letters DAD.  A few gears, a copper key and a die cut from the Spring Greenery die were used as embellishments.

That's a wrap for this week.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

These products used to make the above tag can be purchased at The Funkie Junkie Boutique, where Tim Holtz/Ranger and most other name-brand products are always 20% below MSRP.
