Seaside Triptych

Hi there, It's Wednesday and that means there is new inspiration over at Frilly and Funkie. It's week #2 of Rebecca's By the Seaside challenge and this is what I've made for my Funkie inspired piece.  I borrowed Tammy Tutterow's great idea of stamping with the metallic Pewter distress paint.  I also used her colors for the sponging because they look so gorgeous together plus they are perfect for a seaside piece.
I started with three arches cut from white card stock and stamped the sea items in the metallic pewter distress paint, then dried it with my heat tool.  Once dry, the arch panels were sponged with Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers.  Then the stamping was added - I used images from Beyond the Sea and from Office Ephemera.  The music staff was stamped with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and the black images were stamped with Jet Black archival.
The sea creatures were cut from plain chipboard with an old Cuttlebug die and painted with two coats of Pewter distress paint.
I used a sheet of corrugated carboard to mount my triptych on.

Be sure to stop by Frilly and Funkie to see what the Funkie team has to inspire you this week.  You are sure to drool!

These supplies used to make this card can be purchased at The Funkie Junkie Boutique:

An absolute stunner, Linda. The silvery blues of the ocean and of fish scales make for such a wonderful, shimmery look - and all the stamping is just lovely. Another set I hadn't really registered at AO - you're a terrible temptress!
