Santa Claus is Coming!

Good Saturday morning friends and followers!  After a rugged moving week, the DH and I are camping out at my parents' home while we continue to try to purchase a home.  I managed to bring a few basic crafting supplies with me but everything else has gone into storage.

Saturday, of course, is Our Creative Corner challenge day and our theme this week is Santa Claus is Coming!  Rudlis is our hostess again this week and she wants us to use a vintage Santa image along with something red.  She has even kindly provided a vintage Santa image over on the OCC blog for you to download if you wish.

I started with a jumbo manila tag and stamped images in Coffee archival ink.  The images are from the Stampin' Up! Christmas Lodge set as well as music from Tim Holtz's Mini Holidays #4 and script from Wendy Vecchi's Live and Make Art.  The Santa image on the left is from Artistic Outpost's Snowy Woods and the one on the right is from Tim Holtz's Mini Holidays.  I had previously made up the heart, which was cut with a Spellbinders die from a Pepsi can and run through the Checkered Texture Fade.  Then I colored it with alcohol inks using a paint brush.  The filigree snowflakes are from my store, which of course you can't purchase from as it is temporarily closed.

Super simple tag for this week and that's what you will be seeing until I reclaim my stash from storage - I am definitely embellishment challenged at this point - LOL!

If you love vintage Santa images, be sure to stop by Our Creative Corner.  The team have all used them and the line up is sensational!  And while I couldn't use this one myself because I don't have access to a printer right now, I will also give you a freebie - one of my digitally layered vintage images.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Another lovely Christmas tag to draw inspiration from Linda. Honestly, you've made creating this year's cards a joy rather than a mountain to climb. I love that textured red heart and will definitely be drawing inspiration from it. Wishing you the very best of luck with your house hunt. Hugs, Buttons x

Fantastic tag, and as others said that textured heart looks amazing. Home you find a suitable home soon, and hang in there, this must be a very stressful time for you I could imagine. Oh and I love the vintage Santa image, thanks for that!
