Vintage Snail Mail

Happy weekend everyone!  It's Saturday, therefore it's Our Creative Corner day too!  Marcy Kaminski is our hostess again this week and she wants us to use a silhouette on our project.  She's even kindly provided a link about silhouettes here.  I love this ancient Stampin' Up! set called Vintage Postcard - definitely a classic!  The young lady at the writing desk and the Thank You are from that set.  The flower flourish is Inkadinkado.  The envelope was made with an old SU template, the lace was coffee dyed and the metal is from my stash.  The piercing was done using a Spellbinders die and that's about it for the deets this week.  Pretty short and sweet for me!  Be sure to stop by Our Creative Corner and see all the wonderful silhouette projects the designers have to spark your mojo!

The following products available at The Funkie Junkie Boutique were used to make this card:

You've really inspired me to make a few cards "Funkie" style. I just posted them on my blog, I hope you don't mind my imitating your design.

  11. I can just picture a real Victorian lady sitting at her desk writing thank you notes for luncheons, etc. You really captured the era in your card with all it's details. Just lovely!

  14. I had no idea this was a SU set! How ancient is it??? They need to bring this style back. It's gorgeous Linda and of course you pulled it all together so perfectly with your little letter that she wrote while sitting at her desk. Like stepping back in time to a distinguished era.
So nice to see your name pop up on my blog..thank you for the very sweet message and hope you're not losing your mind completely with the move! So excited for you though. :)
Hugs and have a good week my friend,
