Challenge: 12 Tags of Christmas - Funkie Junkie Style - Week #8

Welcome back to Week #8 of the 12 Tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie Style.  This week I have found my own inspiration from Tim Holtz's November tag using his layout.  I also broke out two new-to-me Tim Holtz stamp sets - Mini Holidays 4 and Seasons Silhouettes, both of which I have fallen in love with (so you will be seeing more of these!).  On the Silhouettes set, I loved the way Tim masked off all but one word and used the same masking approach on mine.
I did emboss resist with the red Santa and poinsettias at the top.  I used Vermillion Archival Ink with clear EP for the embossing.  I tried to melt the embossing powder back off like Tim did, but ended up ruining my first tag because my kraft iron just wouldn't get hot enough and the newsprint just stuck to the embossing.  Hence, mine is a simple emboss resist technique.  I blended Bundled Sage and Vintage Photo stains to get my coloration on the background.
My poinsettia is made from five layers of crinoline cut with the Tattered Florals die and dyed with SU Real Red reinker.  The leaves were also cut from crinoline with the Mini Tattered Leaves die and dyed with Bundled Sage reinker.
I had a lot of fun with this one and really like the way it came out.  Can't wait to see all of your takes on this tag.

Thanks so much to everyone who has played along so far!  If you haven't started playing along, better get going.  One of the criteria to be eligible for the prize drawings at the end is to have all 12 tags finished by December 17th.  You can read all about the challenge in the first post here.

The products below were used to create this tag.  They can be purchased at The Funkie Junkie Boutique:
