Welcome! I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season! I'm finally starting to get back on track after the chaos of Christmas :) I've been running the past couple of days because we are having a CLEARANCE SALE at The Funkie Junkie Boutique. It's been busy and my assistant has been on vacation.
I'm back today with one last post for Artistic Outpost. I'm stepping down at the end of this term. It's been fantastic experience to be part of the Artistic Ouptost design team for the past two years, but my path has taken a different turn and it's time to say good-bye.
I used a number of stamps from several sets for this tag. I started with a jumbo manila tag and using Jet Black archival ink, I stamped from Whimsical Melange, Flower Market and Generation Redux. Then the tag was inked with Faded Jeans and then sprayed lightly with Faded Jeans Distress Spray Stain. It was also edged with Walnut Stain. To add a little texture and interest, Tim Holtz Texture Paste was applied through the Burlap layering stencil and when dry, inked with Walnut Stain.
A panel was stamped with the ledger stamp from Ephemera Backgrounds on white CS. It was then inked with Vintage Photo and also sprayed with Vintage Photo Distress Spray Stain. I ran a couple of rows of messy stitching around the edges as a decoration.
Two white CS tags were cut with an older Sizzix die, stamped with the sentiments in Jet Black archival and then the moth and dragonfly from Flower Market were stamped in embossing ink and clear embossed. The tags were then inked with Faded Jeans and sprayed with Faded Jeans and Vintage Photo Distress Spray Stains.
The piece was finished off with a couple of filigree metals from The Funkie Junkie Boutique. I wanted them to be a little more gold, so I put a drop of Gold Alcohol Ink Mixative on my craft sheet and picked up just a drop with a stiff brush and sort of dry brushed it over the high points of the filigrees. I also added one of the acrylic pearl embellishments from the boutique that I altered with the Gold Alcohol Ink Mixative.
I want to thank Kelley and Lisa for the amazing opportunity I have had with the Artistic Outpost DT. It's been a wonderful experience. I'm very sorry that I won't be playing with the new images that will be coming in the upcoming year and wish them all the best.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
These products were used to make the tag above. They are available at The Funkie Junkie Boutique, where Tim Holtz/Ranger and most other name brand products are always 20% off MSRP.
What a wonderful way to bow out on a high Linda. A beautiful multi tag and I love that pocket. Jenny x

I'm so sad to hear that you will be departing the AO DT but I'm happy that things are hopping for you behind the scenes and you'll be busy in other ways in the New Year!! I've been a fan of yours since finding you through AO and will follow you wherever you go :)
