Hello and welcome back. I have another winter card made with the newly released MidWinter plate from Artistic Outpost. And I'm excited to tell you that I will soon have this set and a number of other Artistic Outpost sets in the Funkie Junkie Boutique. The order is placed and I hope to have it in late next week!
I really love this set as you can probably already tell as I've shown a number of samples using it over the past few weeks. I thought the woodsy images lent themselves to a vintage country feeling card which is what I was going for here using a monochromatic palette in kraft and black. I kept it very simple. The top half was stamped with a Wendy Vecchi gingham stamp and the bottom with an imag form Midwinter. I kept the embellishments very simple using the hare from the set and the sentiment as my main embellies. The filigree metal piece was painted with some of the new Vintaj patina paint. The snowflakes were cut from corrugated cardboard and I melted a bit of UTEE mixed with gold EP on the snowflakes for a little interest. I couldn't resist filling a little vial with chunky glitter to represent snow with summer breaking through.
That's it - short and sweet today. Thanks for stopping by!
