Wishing you a good Wednesday morning. I'm back with you today to share my sample for the new challenge over at Frilly and Funkie. I'm hosting again this week and the challenge is all about words - specifically letting the sentiment take center stage on your work. Words can be kind, comforting, encouraging, supporting. They can lift people up when they are down, they can give positive reinforcement or a giggle when we need it most. I especially love motivational quotes. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of sentiment you will use as the centerpiece your art piece this week.
I made my card using two of the new March release sets from Artistic Outpost: Quotes and Quotables and Flower Market. I started with a vanilla card stock and sponged around the edge with Tattered Rose, added a layer of black and then black and cream designer paper that I printed from the Crafty Secrets Creating With Vintage Patterns CD. I added a piece of cream CS embossed with the Tim Holtz Postcard texture fade and sponged with Tattered Rose. The sentiment was printed on a large ticket die cut with the Tim Holtz Ticket Die and the flower was cut from crinoline (available in my boutique) with the Tattered Florals and Mini Tattered Florals Movers and Shapers dies and dyed with Tattered Rose distress stain (if it is sold out, it will be back in stock soon!). The yummy silk ribbon is also from my Funkie Junkie boutique. Click the thumbnails below to check out these products.
If you are a fan of vintage, we hope you will play along sometime during the next two weeks. Be sure to stop by Frilly and Funkie to check out what the other Frillies have done and stop back next week to see the Funkies' takes on the theme.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
