Serenity

Sharing a card today that I made a week or so ago for the Artistic Outpost August release hop.  I'm using it for my Frilly and Funkie Frilly week make too as our challenge theme this week is Anything Goes.

Starting with a shell of kraft card stock, I think cut a 5.25x5.25" piece of Maja Design Vintage Summer Collection and distressed the edges with my fingernail and then sponged the edges with Vintage Photo DI.  Using a coordinating piece of Maja Design paper, I stamped with stamps from the Artistic Outpost Serenity plate using Wendy Vecchi's new Potting Soil archival Ink.  I made the tag by stamping kraft CS with Picket Fence Distress Stain and the ledger stamp from Ephemera Backgrounds, although you can't see much for the stamp design.  After stamping, I sponged it with Vintage Photo again.  Then the sentiment from Chalkboard Wisdom was stamped in Jet Black Archival.  The leaves were cut with the Mini Tattered Leaves die from acrylic packaging.  Then I applied Ginger and Gold Mixative alcohol inks and it them with the heat gun to warp them.  I love how you can turn the packaging that your Tim Holtz dies and texture fades come in into charming embellishments for your projects.  The rayon seam binding was dyed with Vintage Photo distress ink and the lace was dyed with boiled down coffee.  The sweet bronze butterflies can be purchased in my boutique.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to stop by Frilly and Funkie and please think about playing along this fortnight.  It's anything goes so no excuse for not playing along!
