Maja Design Paper at The Funkie Junkie Boutique

Mummm, yummy!  Just look at this delicious new paper that we just got in the boutique!  I've made a huge investment to bring in a great selection of the wonderful Maja Design papers from Sweden.  This is my first project using them and they are marvelous!

We are kicking off another two-week challenge over at Frilly and Funkie.  This time it's Sue's turn to be our host and her challenge is all amount trying a new fold for a card or other paper crafting project.  I made a swing Z fold card.  Beate Johns ha a fantastic tutorial over at Splitcoast Stampers.  You can find it here.

I seem to be pretty darn hooked on that Strips and Dots Wendy Vecchi stencil, especially when used with Aged Mahogany distress ink.  So I used that and the polka dotted side to give my matting paper a bit of kick.  I roughed up the edges pretty good and sponged them all with Vintage PHoto DI.  I followed the tutorial except I used more layers and consequently it was pretty difficult to cut the swing piece.  If I ever make one again, I'll try to remember to cut down on the layers.

The flower is made from canvas cut with the Mini Tattered Florals M&S dies and stained with Victorian Velvet DS.  The rhinestone button, the copper filigree and the jute ribbon are all from the Funkie Junkie Boutique.

These products used to make this card are available at The Funkie Junkie Boutique:
