The Colors of Fall

I'm back again with a new challenge at Frilly and Funkie.  I'm the hostess again this fortnight and fall is my absolute favorite season!  I love the rich colors of nature and the bounty of the harvest. So I'm challenging you to celebrate autumn with us this week by using a fall color palette in your work (suggestions - brown, orange, olive, rust, cranberry, harvest gold).

I started my card with a piece of vanilla CS and stamped the leaf from Artistic Outpost's The Old Grist Mill in embossing ink and clear embossed it.  Then I sponged over the entire panel randomly in Wild Honey, Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, Rusty Hinge and Peeled Paint.  The panel is Crafty Secrets Cotton Scraps.  They are fun little vintage images printed on cotton fabric.  I cut the main panel out with pinking sheers and stitched it down.  The FALL postage stamp scraps were cut out and mounted on small tags.  The edges were all sponged with Vintage Photo DI.  I used some leaves left over from a prior project.  They are parchment paper that I applied alcohol inks to and cut with the Mini Tattered Leaves movers and shapers die.  The filigree corner was painted with Vintage Clay Vintaj patina paint. People frequently ask how I affix my metals.  I use Claudine Hellmuth Multi Medium Matte.  I apply it with a toothpick and then usually set something heavy on it for a few minutes until it sticks.

I hope you will stop by Frilly and Funkie to see what the other designers have to offer you for inspiration this week.  Thanks for stopping by here and for all the lovely comments too!
