JustRite Guest Designer - Day 1

Eariler this year, I had the amazing good fortune to win the Caardvark's Lacy Days challenge that was sponsored by JustRite. The prize was totally mind boggling: the entire JustRite release for the months of April and June plus the opportunity to be a JustRite guest designer for three days. My three days (or 15 minutes of fame) are August 2nd through 4th.

To begin, I would like to thank the folks from JustRite Stampers for all the amazing stamp sets I won from the Caardvark’s challenge and for this opportunity to be a guest designer. They were so gracious and accommodating to work with and it has been a truly delightful experience. You can find my samples posted on their blog beginning today.

I designed a fairly simple card to kick off the first day. The frames and sentiment were clear embossed to add a bit of texture which was overlaid on an element punched using Becca Feeken’s very clever “right angle punching”. I added some fancy machine stitching to give it a bit of texture. The very bottom layer was stamped around the border using one of the nested frames stamps. This entailed a bit of masking and inky fingers, but I really like the extra pattern and how it ties in with the stamped frames.

Products List:

JustRite Stampers ®: JB-09200 Baroque Nested Frames and Occasions
Dies & Punches: Martha Stewart Layered Arches corner punch
Paper: Stampin’ Up Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip, Fancy Pants Baby’s Breath
Ink: Versamark, Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel
