Fairy Fun Friday Color Inspiration

Hi everyone! Happy Friday and welcome to my post for Fairy Fun Friday! Thanks so much for stopping by to see my card for our weekly challenge. This week our challenge is a color challenge with a beautiful photo for inspiration (see challenge blog for photo). I chose the dominate colors of blue and green, plus a hefty portion of white and a smattering of red and pink. This is the outcome. Again, sort of a departure for me with a lot of white space and no stitching. I wanted to stitch, but I really wanted white, unbroken space to be the dominate factor in this card, so, hard as it was, I did pass over the stitching.

Card Details: For the white CS, I used the Flourishes CS that is sold for coloring with Copics. It is such a heavy, rich feeling card stock. Not only does it color beautifully with Copics, but is really impressive when embossed. I used the Cuttlebug Victoria embossing folder and a Cuttlebug die for the die cut. The main image is cut with a Spellbinders label die. The coloring was done with Copics and the fairies' wings were coated with SU's Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The ribbon was from Michael's and the gems from Jo-Ann's. The flower was hand made using the Spellbinders Nestabilities scallop circles.

Please stop by the challenge blog and if you can, stop by these lovely talented designers' blogs and let them know what you think of their sample.

Blessings & hugs,
