A Simple Thank You

I needed a quick card to send to a family who hosted us for Christmas dinner last week.  I wanted something fairly flat that I could send through the mail and also didn't have a lot of time (couldn't squeeze out the 3++ hours it usually take me to "whip something up").  I came up with this simple A2 size two-layer card.

I cut a piece of kraft card stock 11x 4.5 and folded it in the middle.  Using the Tim Holtz Mini Weathered Winter stamp set, I stamped with Ranger Glacier White Pigment Ink and dried the ink with my heat gun.  Then it was spattered with Picket Fence distress stain and I made tiny dots on it with Glossy Accents, shook on Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter and tapped off the excess.

Using a Spellbinders die I bought back in the day, I cut a panel from kraft CS.  Using my finger, I edged it (somewhat messily) with my finger,  stamped one of the largest snowflakes in the center and again dried or heat set it with my heat gun.  The pigment inks never seem to dry by themselves so I always heat set them.  The sentiment from Stamping' Up stamped with Ranger Jet Black Archival ink.  The tag was cut with Tim's Framelits Tag Collection die set and stamped with a Verve sentiment.

The twine, loop pin, silver jingle bell and snowflake charm are all from my shop The Funkie Junkie Boutique.  I left the inside completely blank to write my thank you note.

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's celebration.  Wishing you all a never-ending season of love and peace!

I'm pulling out my old stash and trying to use what I have as well. Trying to simply create. Thanks for the inspiration once again.
