Hello friends, I'm back for week two of the Frilly and Funkie challenge Happy Happy HAPPY. It's been great to see all the HAPPY entries into this challenge so far and there is still a whole week left to play along. Just make a vintage project that makes you happy and link it up!
For my Funkie week project, I made another of my large manila tags. This was a pretty simple tag - no special techniques. I took the manila tag and spritzed it with Vintage Photo Distress Spray Stain tun did a little spritz and flick. I also used the Dot Fade stencil to add more Vintage Photo DI. Then I used the new Tim Holtz Correspondence stamp set and my Jet Black archival pad to add all the wonderful postal stamps. After that, i added some of Wendy Vecchi's black embossing paste through the Typo stencil - LOVE that black embossing paste. I created and cut out a couple of postage stamps using the stamp set and popped them up for dimension. Then I added two new metal pieces from my store - the LOVE key and the bronze arrow. I tied a scrap of dyed seam binding onto the key for decoration. I also added an old old Tim Holtz keyhole that started out as antique silver. I changed it to match the bronze embellishments will a little bit of gold Inka Gold. I finished it off with a piece of gold self adhesive trim - also a new arrival at The Funkie Junkie Boutique.
That's it - short and sweet but I absolutely LOVE this new Correspondence stamp set. This one is right up my vintage alley with so many stamps in it that I know I will use over and over.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you will play along with us over at Frilly and Funike this week.

Okay... I actually spoke out loud when I just saw this rather than a wow wee in my head!! And I won't repeat as my language wasn't the cleanest, but this is just gobsmackingly beautiful. I know you say short and sweet but seriously this has everything you could ever want from a stunning tag, the metal, some material, some stamping, some layering and not to mention the spot on vintage tone!! Love this Linda, you are a genius!! :)
