Hi everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by today. I am kicking off another great challenge over on the Frilly and Funkie Blog inspired by Wendy Vecchi's wonderful style. I'm so excited that I have recently been able to expand the Wendy Vecchi/Studio 490 selection of products over at The Funkie Junkie Boutique. Unfortunately right now, we are totally sold out of her cool Embossing Paste, but not to worry as lots more is on order and we will soon be restocked!
So for my piece this week, I broke out a couple of packs of Art Parts - Flower Parts and Scallop Trim. Using Art Parts is new to me and I had to play around a bit, but I think they came out okay. I used Antique Linen Distress Paint to give them their base color and had to use two coats to be happy with the coverage. I inked the edges with Walnut Stain DI and then stamped the polka dots from It's All About Art in coffee archival. The large flower had the same treatment and was then stamped with the background stamp from Heirloom Art also in coffee archival.
The tag is one of the non-branded jumbo tags I sell in the boutique. I first stamped it in Jet Black archival with the ledger stamp from A Form of Art, then stamped the leaves from Nature's Art. The flower from Daisy Art was stamped with Picket Fence Distress Paint and when dry, the entire tag was then sponged with Vintage Photo DI and edged with Walnut Stain DI. I finished it off with one of the cool silver tone buttons, also from The Funkie Junkie Boutique.
Again, thanks so much for stopping by and double thanks if you left a comment. All the supplies used are listed below with links to their listing in The Funkie Junkie Boutique.
I love this tag, Linda - love your treatment of the Art Parts and the overall American Primitive look of the piece. Also makes some of those stamps look very tempting!
