Hello! I hope if you celebrated Christmas that it was wonderful this year. I got my heart's desire - a new home! Yes, finally!! We closed the sale on the 20th, the movers came on the 21st. We got settled enough to celebrate Christmas here with the family.
My apologies for being absent from my blog for so long. I am finally getting things unpacked and finishing setting up my craft room. But I have also had the entire rest of the house to unpack and set up so I am just getting back to blogging.
This is a card I made for the Kudzu Kafe release last summer. I thought I would share it for my Artistic Outpost post this week since I haven't had time to make anything yet. I started with a piece of kraft card stock and stamped the ticking stamp in Gathered Twigs. I stamped the cafe from the Kudzu Kafe plate and also stamped the vintage truck and the trees from Artistic Outpost's Home plate, both using Jet Black Archival ink. I stamped and trimmed out the vintage woman from the plate and made her a little "wooden" be silly sign. It was finished off with two rusty wire stars, die cut from the rusty tin I carry in the store.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Loved this over at AO - fabulous crackly fence, and I just love how you've assembled the scene. Even more tempted by Kudzu now!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that you were able to get in in time for Christmas, and that unpacking is happening smoothly. Laughed out loud to see craftroom automatically comes first, and then the rest of the house... my plan exactly, when it comes to it!!
Wishing you a fantastic 2013 - happy New Year to you and your whole family!
Alison xx
I'm happy to hear that you've gotten into your new home and are getting settled. I love the card! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteLove the ideas here Linda. The picket fence is definitely a favourite and your choice of sentiments made me chuckle. Wishing you the happiest of New Year's in your new home. Hugs, Jenny x
ReplyDeleteThis is a great collage...the sparkly stars, the wonderful sign, and the paperclipped sentiment all work together to build a very nice scene. You are so talented, Linda.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are moved into your new home. I know it is a lot of work (we've moved 23 times) but it is also a lot of fun to set everything up and see your "old" things in your new space. Very happy for you!
What a fabulous card to end the year with Linda and I am so pleased to hear you got your new home at last and how wonderful it happened in time for Christmas. Now you can get yourself organised and settled.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family a very happy new year and everything you would wish for yourselves.
