Hello and thanks for stopping by today. My post is for the July Artistic Outpost blog hop where we were invited to use our favorite Artistic Outpost stamps. My piece today uses a couple of the tea themed stamps from the London Elements plate. I stamped them on white CS with Aged Mahogany and then give them one coat of UTEE, flicking off anything lose. Once heat set, I then sponged over them with Aged Mahogany which filled in all the cracks with color. I love that technique - don't know what it is called, maybe I should give it a name, huh? I cut a strip with the Vintage Lace die and give it the same technique. I added a handmade crinoline flower (the pieces were cut with the Mini Tattered Florals M&S dies) plus a piece of filigree metal that I white embossed and then swiped with more Aged Mahogany. The outer shell is Mellow Moss and the next layer in also has the UTEE technique. The lovely designer paper is some random free digital paper that I ran across somewhere in my surfing travels. Plus I added a white doily that I restrained myself from swiping with Vintage Photo DI - can you believe that?
So now it's time to hop on by the other Artistic Outpost designers' blogs to see what sort of eye candy they have to titillate you.
Thanks heaps for stopping by today!
Oh so feminine and romantic!!! It reminds me of fine china designs of long ago...so vintage and so shabby chic! Just gorgeous Linda!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Linda
ReplyDeleteIt is full of texture and dimension, soft and delicate. I am so pleased you did not swipe the doily as it looks wonderful as a backdrop; one can think tablecloth and cake!
It is beautiful.
Smiles:)

Just gorgeous... perfect setting for those lovely stamps - so Edwardian tea party, but with great zingy reds to lift it out of the ordinary. Love it!

I absolutely LOVE the color. I just purchased some (more) vintage tea cups and saucers.. may have to create something like this myself. Doubt if it will be as beautiful as yours, but at least I have something to work from. Thanks.
