Good day to you. Thanks for stopping back by. I have another card to share from the February Artistic Outpost release. This one again from the Charles and Amelia set. Not too many details here - what you see is what you get! The front panel is that cool kraft glassine, another of Tim Holtz's fabulous products. I embossed it with the Steampunk Texture Fade and then swiped across it with Picket Fence Distress Stain. I cut a piece of acetate packaging and stamped the Charles Lindberg image on the front with Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink and let it dry overnight (the ink takes forever to dry on the acetate and if you try to dry it with your heat tool, it will warp and curl - which is cool for some uses, but not what I wanted here). When dry, I applied alcohol ink to the reverse side. I hand cut the little triangles of canvas for my banner and stamped on it, again with the Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink. The rusty metal came from my Zibbet shop - another fun little embellishment. I stamped on the bottle cap with the Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink - it worked great! That's it - a pretty simple card but of course it took me forever to make it - LOL.
Below are all the products I used that are sold in my Zibbet boutique. And don't forget, there is a one-time coupon to try my boutique in March - use the coupon code MARCH10 upon checkout for your 10% discount.
Thanks for stopping by and for all the lovely comments. I appreciate each and every one of them!
POST UPDATE - READER QUESTION: What did I use to adhere the glassine? I use Claudine Hellmuth's Multi Medium Matte for adhering so many things, including the glassine. It dries completely clear and since it is matte, no shine either! The down side is that it is water based, so don't use too much or it will warp your card stock. For general layer gluing I use Beacon Fabri-Tac - buy it at Jo-Ann Fabrics with your 40% off coupon. Hope that helps - let me know if you have other questions.
