Good Monday morning to you, my friends. So happy to have you start your week with my Simon Says Stamp and Show post. We had such a great response to our shabby challenge. If you played along with us, please know how much we appreciate your participation and best of luck in the drawing and Top 3 awards!
This week Simon Says Stamp and Show us your favorite Tim Holtz stamp. Oooh, how tough is that? How DO you pick a favorite Lord Tim of Holtz stamp???? I don't have a huge assortment of Tim Holtz stamps (although it is growning - LOL!) but I still had a tough time deciding. I finally went with this bird and branch stamp along with other stamps from the Urban Grunge set plus lots of other wonderful Lord Tim embellishments. The tag was sponged with three colors of Tim Holtz distress inks, then a journaling ticket, tissue tape, ruler ribbon, a type charm, a muse token and a hinge clip were added.
I made the theme of the piece love and asked the question - can love be measured? I included units of measure such as the measuring tape, the calendar tissue tape, the numbers in the upper left. The type charm has an L for love and the muse token has an F and the word "Forevermore". I like to pull all my embellishments together with a central theme and was happy at how this all came together.
I hope you will be able to choose a favorite Tim stamp and play along with us this week. Definitely make time to swing by the other design team members' blogs. You will most certainly be inspired by what you see there!
