Whimsey Stamps Holiday Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the Wimsey Stamps Holiday Release Blog Hop.  I am so excited to be participating today in the celebration of this sensational rubber stamp release - six sets of holiday rubber stamps, the new Ticket Die from the Whimsey Shapeology Die Collection and two new packs of 6x6 designer paper created by Ann Vento and Crissy Armstrong, each with 12 designs, 2 sheets of each design for a total of 24 sheets.  That's something to celebrate!  If you came here from the wonderful  Crystal Irwin's blog, you are on the right track.  If you would like to start at the beginning of the hop, here is the link to the Whimsey Stamps blog.  Be sure to visit all of the blogs and see the fabulous work done by this talented group of designers.  There will be candy stops along the way where you have a chance to win one of the new releases.  And one grand prize winner will walk away with entire release - how cool would THAT be? You have until noon Eastern Time on November 17th to enter.

I was thrilled to be able to work with Crissy Armstrong's new vintage Christmas set called Peace on Earth.  It's a large set with eight stamps and they are so beautiful that I wanted to be able to use them ALL.  I thought making a Christmas wall hanging to use as a holiday decoration would be the way to go.  Here you can see the whole of it.  I was very disappointed that I couldn't get a great shot of the entire wall hanging.  I took multiple shots (thank heavens for digital!) and spent forever editing it with my PSE, but the final photo result just doesn't do it justice.

I'm giving you individual close up shots so you can see the gorgeous images.  I used three chipboard coasters (pack of 6 from Michael's $1 bin and still have 3 more left for the next project - LOL!) and covered each with a holiday embossed layer of silver card stock.  The DP is from Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby paper pack (love that shade of blue) and of course I had to shabby it up a bit more.  I was going for sort of a worn, time treasured holiday keepsake effect.  All images were colored with Copic markers.  I cut a silver "cloud" for the angel and applied SU Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
I added a bit of doodling with a silver gel pen.  The flower was made with cardstock that I stamped with the same sentiment stamp I used here plus a bit of crinoline, all cut with various Sizzix dies and topped with a tiny Prima rose.

Your next stop on the hop will be the talented Vanja Stevanovic's blog. Thank you for stopping by.  Good luck in the prize drawing!

Blessings & hugs,
